Hi, I've been able to find the page to adopt Pokémon, and even been able to purchase a "toy" (not sure I'd consider a rock a toy ), but I am not sure if it is possible or how to care for my Pokémon. I assume it is possible as they have a happiness meter, but so far I haven't been able to figure it out. Help?

Hi, Blueblood! In order to care for a Pokemon, click the action you want to do and drag it onto a Pokemon. Once you've dragged it, let go of the left click button. I don't think this works on mobile sadly, i've tried it before. Maybe if you download Puffin it could work but i don't know.

My Pokémon are not showing up in the field, though I own two. Do I have to click or select something to have them show up? I am not on mobile. Image of my field attached. I am supposed to be looking in the field, yes?

Figured it out. Clicked the "Manage" tennis ball and got the option to add them. I added their toy as well - can it be used or is it more of a decoration? I tried dragging it to them, no effect.

I'm not actually sure if the toy does anything, unfortunately. Try clicking it, i think that it had a message when i clicked it.
